Ms. Potter is an associate of
Steese ♦ Evans ♦ Frankel,
P.C. Ms. Potter focuses on commercial
litigation, telecommunications
regulation and litigation, intellectual
property litigation, and appellate
practice. Prior to joining Steese
♦ Evans ♦ Frankel,
P.C., Ms. Potter was an associate
at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, and Ireland,
Stapleton, Pryor & Pascoe, P.C.,
both in Denver.
Ms. Potter's experience includes
representing publicly traded companies
in contract negotiation, regulatory
proceedings, civil litigation,
and appeals; defending banking
entities in consumer protection
and securities fraud class actions;
representing creditors in bankruptcy
proceedings; construction companies
in arbitrations and civil litigation
and officers and directors in
securities fraud and fiduciary
duty cases.
Since joining Steese ♦ Evans
♦ Frankel, P.C., Ms. Potter's
subject matter experiences have
focused on telecommunications
litigation in federal courts,
state commissions, and state courts,
particularly regarding intercarrier
compensation disputes such as
access charge disputes in the
"traffic pumping" and
transit traffic contexts; Signaling
System 7 disputes; state commission
proceedings for Section 271 approval;
copyright and patent litigation
at the federal district and appellate
court levels; antitrust, trade
secret and other business tort
litigation in state and federal
district courts; intellectual
property licensing; and telecom-cable
pole attachment agreements.
Ms. Potter has served as the past
chair of the Colorado Bar Association
Securities Subsection and represented
children in the Denver County
Court's guardian ad litem program,
through the Rocky Mountain Children's
Law Center. She is the author
of "Contribution Rights in
Colorado Securities Fraud Cases,"
29 Colo. Lawyer 51 (Jun. 2000),
and co-author of "Doubling
the Prescription: the Securities
Litigation Uniform Standards Act
of 1998," 6 Securities Reform
Act Litigation Reporter 460 (Jan.
1999).
